The Most Powerful Man in the World

As the face of law enforcement in America for nearly 50 years, J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have ruined his image, his career and his life.

Review: The tale evolves around the life of Edgar Hoover(Leonardo Dicaprio), who was the founder of the FBI. It shows his rise to power, and his American dream to make this world a better place. But this film also shows that he was a tormented man, the people he was close to the most where Helen Gandy(Naomi Watts) his secretary, and Clyde Tolson(Armie Hammer, The Social Network).

Leonardos performance was tour De break down, he really did his homework on the man, I hope he will not be missed by the Oscars. Naomi Watts and Armie Hammer are also fantastic in there supporting roles too. Clint Eastwoods direction is like watching a brilliant painter, when has his direction not been painstaking brilliant. All in all a well made film.
